Why Everyone Has Gone Natural Wine Crazy?
Since when was wine unnatural? Well, it turns out that the production of a majority of wines had started to overflow with potentially harmful chemicals during the winemaking process; something similar to those videos on social media that put you off eating chicken for life. In this handy news article we will provide you with everything you need to know about natural wines and how they can benefit absolutely everybody. So here is the all-natural, uncorked truth about natural wines!
Sometimes natural wines can get off to a bad start. There are several different variations for a start; natural, organic, and biodynamic. And more often than not, the cloudy appearance of natural wine can make people put the bottle back down as quickly as they picked it up. However, it has that appearance for a reason. We are conscious about the traceability of our food and water, so we should absolutely be conscious about the traceability of our wines. Even the biggest food-enthusiasts, who carefully trace the sources of what they eat, will often drink a glass of wine without a second thought.
Well, let’s trace back wine to its two-stage process. Firstly, the grapes are grown and then, of course, they are turned into wine. Ensuring your wine is natural means that you are strict with both the growing of the grapes and the storing of the wine in a wine cellar. There is to be nothing added or removed. Period. This isn’t too dissimilar to the way organic and biodynamic wines are treated, and natural wines can come from both types of grapes.
Some wine drinkers state that they can barely tell the difference between a standard or natural wine. However, others can be quite a challenging drink. The cloudy appearance is due to the ripeness and full texture of the grapes that have been completely free from any additional chemicals or sulphites. The development of aromas over time is what makes these natural wines so unique. They are so much fuller and fruitier than standard wines and therefore will almost certainly be more enjoyable.
So, overall, standard wines are often full of additives, sulphites, and chemicals that are quite simply, not very good for you. However, it’s your own choice what you put into your body. But there is one thing for sure, don’t knock it till you try it. We are sure you’ll taste the difference and benefits after the first sip.
