Benefits Of Organic Wine
Drinking wine is something the majority of us enjoy, from having a glass at the end of the day to sharing a bottle with friends. What if we told you there was a way you could make drinking wine healthier? Organic wine is a brilliant option which is taking the wine world by storm. So what is sulphite free wine and natural wine? Simply, it is wine made from organic grapes - nothing drastic but this small detail has a huge impact. There is a range of benefits from drinking organically, here are some of the reasons why you should consider it:
NO HARMFUL CHEMICALS
Normally, wine is made from grapes that are grown with synthetic pesticides and other chemicals. Growing organic grapes means that the consumer, farmer and environment aren’t exposed to any of the harmful toxins involved in the non-organic wine process.
LESS SULPHITES
Sulphites are preservatives that can cause allergic reactions and has been linked to a number of health problems including the dreaded “hangover”. Although sulphites occur naturally in wine, most regular winemakers choose to increase the sulphite content by adding more, this keeps the wine for longer. Organic wine tends to have less sulphites which can also improve taste due to the unpleasant smell the preservative gives off. The fruits may also have a more concentrated flavour due to the lack of chemicals involved and a smaller yield.

LESS HANGOVERS?
People who have converted to drinking only organic wine have said they have noticed a significant decrease in hangovers. This may be down to the elimination of chemicals and pesticides, or the significant lower level of sulphites.
With all considered, there are health benefits associated with organic wine that you can’t get from non-organic wine. Whether it’s for your health or the environment, drinking organically has a number of benefits that make drinking wine even better than it is already!
